UAE Family Visa Terms and Conditions

To sponsor family members in the UAE, residents must hold a valid work permit or residence visa with a minimum salary of AED 4,000. Medical fitness tests are mandatory, and specific rules apply for sponsoring children and parents. Profession is no longer a restriction for sponsorship eligibility.

Sponsoring Parents in the UAE: Rules, Validity & Requirements

Official documents are required in cases of a late or single parent to justify sponsoring only one parent.

Requirements to Sponsor Your Wife and Children for a UAE Family Visa

To sponsor the wife, the resident must provide an attested marriage certificate in Arabic or a duly translated certificate.

Daughters can be sponsored regardless of their age, as long as they are unmarried.

Sons can be sponsored by both male and female residents until the age of 25. There are no age restrictions for sons with special needs.

For newborns in the UAE, it's crucial to apply for a residence visa within 120 days of birth to avoid fines.

Stepchildren can be sponsored with the GDRFA's conditions, including a deposit and a no-objection certificate from the biological parent.

Required documents for sponsorship include passport copies, photos, employment or company contracts, salary certificates, attested marriage certificates, and registered tenancy contract.

If the sponsoring family member's visa is canceled, the visas of the dependents will also be canceled. Dependents have a grace period may be up to 2 weeks to 6 months from the expiry or cancellation of their visas.
